Bob and Doug McKenzie in Mayor Rob Ford – Hoser Nation!

In the video Mayor Rob Ford – Hoser Nation!, Bob and Doug McKenzie are two of hilarious Canadian actors who starred in “Great White North”, a improv which was introduced on SCTV for the show’s third season when it aired by CBC Television in the 80’s. Bob’s part is brought to life by the funny Rick Moranis and Doug is created by Dave Thomas. Which was made originally as a joke to both follow guidelines and mock dumb Canadian content policies, the duo turned into a pop culture phenomenon in both Canada and across the border. The McKenzie brothers soon became the focus of a hit comedy album, The Great White North, in 1981.
