In the video McKenzie Brothers intro to Rush’s “The Larger Bowl”, Live Irvine California May 11 2008, Bob and Doug McKenzie are a couple of made up Canadian family members who can been seen in “Great White North”, a sketch which was featured on SCTV for the show’s most watched season when it got sent to the Canadian Broadcasting Channel in the year 1980. Bob’s character is created by comic Rick Moranis and Doug McKenzie is acted by actor Dave Thomas. Which was born originally as an idea to both follow guidelines and laugh about network Canadian content policies, the two grew up to be a pop culture sensation in both Canada and America. The McKenzie brothers soon became the focus of a huge comedy album, The Great White North, in 1981.
