Bob and Doug McKenzie in Mckenzie Brothers Promo

In the video Mckenzie Brothers Promo, Bob and Doug McKenzie are a group of fictional Canadian family members who are responsible for “Great White North”, a program which was aired on SCTV – second city television for the show’s most popular season when it was broadcast on the Canadian Broadcasting Channel in . Bob’s part is played by Rick Moranis and the character Doug is played by comic Dave Thomas. Regardless the fact it was brought to life originally as fluff to both satisfy and laugh about silly Canadian content rules, the duo turned into a pop culture hit in both Canada and the States. The two went on to become the focus of a famous comedy album, The Great White North, in 1981.
