Bob and Doug McKenzie in McKenzie Brothers Short

In the video McKenzie Brothers Short, Bob and Doug McKenzie are two of imaginaryfunny Canadian actors who can been seen in “Great White North”, a ad lib skit which was shown on SCTV for the show’s most watched season when it aired by CBC Television in the 80’s. Bob is created by comedian Rick Moranis and Doug’s part is brought to life by actor Dave Thomas. Regardless the fact it was made originally as a skit to both fulfill and mock stupid Canadian content legislation, the pair morphed into a pop culture phenomenon in both Canada and the US. The McKenzie brothers later became the focus of a huge comedy album, The Great White North, in 1981.
