In the video Me Humming “Take Off” by Bob and Doug McKenzie, Bob and Doug McKenzie are a duo of strange Canadian family members who hosted “Great White North”, a segment which was featured on second city television for the show’s most liked season when it was broadcast on the Canadian Broadcasting Channel in the year 1980. Bob’s character is acted by actor Rick Moranis and the character Doug is created by Dave Thomas. The bit was developed originally as filler to both please and makes jokes about non sensical Canadian content demands, the characters morphed into a pop culture hit in both Canada and America. The pair enetually would become the focus of a an amazing comedy album, The Great White North, in 1981.
