Bob is acted by hilarious comedian Rick Moranis and Doug McKenzie is played by comic Dave Thomas. Which was born originally as a sketch to both satisfy and make fun of dumb Canadian content statutes, the pair transformed into a pop culture hit in both Canada and the US. The McKenzie siblings soon became the focus of a an amazing comedy album, The Great White North, in 1981.
