Bob and Doug McKenzie in Merengue!

In the video Merengue!, Bob and Doug McKenzie are two of hysterical Canadian brothers who hosted “Great White North”, a sketch which was featured on SCTV for the show’s most liked season when it braodcast by the Canadian Broadcasting Channel in in the early 80s. The character Bob McKenzie is acted by hilarious comedian Rick Moranis and Doug is created by actor Dave Thomas. Which was made originally as a joke to both follow guidelines and make fun of silly Canadian content laws, the brothers grew up to be a pop culture smash hit in both Canada and across the border. The characters enetually would become the focus of a classic comedy album, The Great White North, in 1981.
