In the video Mic Check Dave Thomas, Bob and Doug McKenzie are two of hysterical Canadian siblings who were featured in “Great White North”, a program which was shown on SCTV – second city television for the show’s 3rd season when it was featured on the Canadian Broadcasting Channel in the 80’s. Bob’s partThe character Bob is performed by hilarious comedian Rick Moranis and Doug McKenzie is played by the comedian Dave Thomas. The bit was brought to life originally as an idea to both please and mock non sensical Canadian content demands, the brothers transformed into a pop culture phenomenon in both Canada and the States. The McKenzie brothers soon became the focus of a hit comedy album, The Great White North, in 1981.
