In the video Michael Mcdonald SCTV, Bob and Doug McKenzie are a couple of hilarious Canadian siblings who created “Great White North”, a segment which was included on SCTV – second city television for the show’s most watched season when it got sent to CBC Television in in the early 80s. Bob’s character is brought to life by the funny Rick Moranis and Doug McKenzie’s part is created by actor Dave Thomas. It was brought to life originally as filler to both fulfill and laugh at network Canadian content statutes, the duo turned into a pop culture phenomenon in both Canada and the States. The McKenzie brothers soon became the focus of a huge comedy album, The Great White North, in 1981.
