Bob and Doug McKenzie in Mix Tape: Rolling Stone Continuous History no. 31: Canadian Rock

In the video Mix Tape: Rolling Stone Continuous History no. 31: Canadian Rock, Bob and Doug McKenzie are a pair of fictional Canadian family members who starred in “Great White North”, a skit which was televised on SCTV for the show’s most watched season when it was aired on CBC Television in the eighties. Bob’s character is played by the funny Rick Moranis and Doug McKenzie’s part is created by Dave Thomas. Which was developed originally as a skit to both fulfill and makes jokes about non sensical Canadian content policies, the pair turned into a pop culture sensation in both Canada and the States. The pair became the focus of a famous comedy album, The Great White North, in 1981.
