In the video MoCapMonday Tribute to Jerry Todd @SCTV, Bob and Doug McKenzie are a couple of odd Canadian family members who were featured in “Great White North”, a show which was aired on SCTV – second city television for the show’s most popular season when it got sold to the Canadian Broadcasting Channel in 1980. Bob’s character is created by Rick Moranis and Doug’s part is acted by actor Dave Thomas. Regardless the fact it was developed originally as fluff to both follow guidelines and laugh about dumb Canadian content policies, the duo became a pop culture sensation in both Canada and the USA. The characters became the focus of a bestselling comedy album, The Great White North, in 1981.
