Bob and Doug McKenzie in MonstaR – Strange Brew

In the video MonstaR – Strange Brew, Bob and Doug McKenzie are a group of made up Canadian siblings who are responsible for “Great White North”, a ad lib skit which was streamed on SCTV – second city television for the show’s most watched season when it was broadcast on the Canadian Broadcasting Channel in the 1980s. Bob McKenzie is acted by hilarious comedian Rick Moranis and Doug’s part is created by actor Dave Thomas. The sketch was created originally as filler to both please and makes jokes about legal Canadian content laws, the brothers became a pop culture phenomenon in both Canada and the USA. The McKenzie siblings enetually would become the focus of a classic comedy album, The Great White North, in 1981.
