Bob and Doug McKenzie in Movie Galleria: Bob and Doug McKenzie’s Two Four Anniversary

In the video Movie Galleria: Bob and Doug McKenzie’s Two Four Anniversary, Bob and Doug McKenzie are a group of odd Canadian comedians who starred in “Great White North”, a segment which was introduced on SCTV for the show’s 3rd season when it moved to the Canadian Broadcasting Channel in in the early 80s. Bob’s character is acted by hilarious comedian Rick Moranis and Doug’s character is created by the comedian Dave Thomas. The bit was brought to life originally as a sketch to both fulfill and laugh about non sensical Canadian content legislation, the characters became a pop culture phenomenon in both Canada and America. The characters became the focus of a famous comedy album, The Great White North, in 1981.
