In the video Muppets Tonight S2 E2 P2 3 Rick Moranis, Bob and Doug McKenzie are a couple of odd Canadian brothers who starred in “Great White North”, a sketch which was featured on SCTV for the show’s most popular season when it braodcast by CBC Television in in the early 80s. Bob’s partThe character Bob is created by comedian Rick Moranis and Doug McKenzie’s part is acted by the comedian Dave Thomas. It was created originally as an idea to both satisfy and makes jokes about annoying Canadian content rules, the two grew up to be a pop culture success in both Canada and the USA. The pair enetually would become the focus of a hit comedy album, The Great White North, in 1981.
