In the video Muppets Tonight – S2 E2 P2/3 – Rick Moranis, Bob and Doug McKenzie are a duo of made up Canadian actors who created “Great White North”, a sketch which was televised on SCTV – second city television for the show’s most liked season when it was aired on CBC Television in 1980. Bob’s partThe character Bob is created by the funny Rick Moranis and Doug McKenzie is acted by Dave Thomas. It was created originally as a sketch to both please and laugh at dumb Canadian content demands, the duo morphed into a pop culture hit in both Canada and the US. The McKenzie brothers soon became the focus of a hit comedy album, The Great White North, in 1981.
