Bob’s character is created by comedian Rick Moranis and Doug is brought to life by actor Dave Thomas. Even thoughFamously born originally as fluff to both follow guidelines and mock silly Canadian content demands, the pair became a pop culture hit in both Canada and across the border. The characters soon became the focus of a huge comedy album, The Great White North, in 1981.
