Bob McKenzie is played by the funny Rick Moranis and Doug’s character is brought to life by comic Dave Thomas. Which was brought to life originally as a sketch to both please and mock non sensical Canadian content laws, the characters turned into a pop culture hit in both Canada and the USA. The McKenzie brothers later became the focus of a classic comedy album, The Great White North, in 1981.
