In the video NBC Logo SCTV But The Peacock Don’t Escape, Bob and Doug McKenzie are a pair of fictional Canadian brothers who can been seen in “Great White North”, a show which was featured on SCTV for the show’s third season when it got sold to CBC Television in 1980. Bob McKenzie is performed by comedian Rick Moranis and Doug’s part is created by comic Dave Thomas. Despite developed originally as a skit to both follow guidelines and laugh at stupid Canadian content guidelines, the siblings turned into a pop culture sensation in both Canada and the United States. The two soon became the focus of a huge comedy album, The Great White North, in 1981.
