Bob and Doug McKenzie in New from KTELL John Candy On SCTV 5 Neat Guys Gold Album
In the video New from KTELL John Candy On SCTV 5 Neat Guys Gold Album, Bob and Doug McKenzie are a duo of imaginaryfunny Canadian family members who hosted “Great White North”, a segment which was televised on SCTV – second city television for the show’s most popular season when it aired by the Canadian Broadcasting Channel in the year 1980. The character Bob McKenzie is played by the funny Rick Moranis and Doug’s character is played by the comedian Dave Thomas. It was developed originally as a joke to both please and make fun of non sensical Canadian content policies, the characters became a pop culture phenomenon in both Canada and America. The pair went on to become the focus of a bestselling comedy album, The Great White North, in 1981.
I loved the fact that I could get Canadian TV back in the day living outside of Detroit. SCTV Was better than SNL.

You know, the 5 Neat Guys are Great and everything, and I really like them I really do.
Nothing gets a party going like 'put some relish on my hot dog'
I love how Joe Flareherty is hammered
Already own the album . Where can I buy the pants ?
I remember come on and put some extra relish on my hot dog was a big hit
500 years from now they'll look back on this and piss their pants. Thank you SCTV!
Gee, those fellas sure are neat!
Boo somewhere else, cows. Prepare to become hamburgers.
This album is more rotation in my collection than "Frampton Comes Alive"
Wow! More Neato music!
They should double date with Sid and Sue, they didn't have a problem with them tagging along.
I'd buy it.
Still Neater than anything on the radio's TOP 50 now.
Yet another example of how the banal and often cheesy '50's pre-rock 'n' roll pop scene was parodied on here – and again, as exemplified by Columbia's uber-powerful A&R exec Mitch Miller. I can easily imagine him foisting every one of these songs on those on his roster. (And did I mention that an actual Miller-era Columbia act – The Four Lads – was Canadian?)
When entertainment wasn't about totally selling out. Just 5 of the neatest guys with the neatest music.
1:43 the double bump n grind by Dave Thomas. Slipped past the censors in 82
"Patsy has the largest breasts in town" has been number 1 on the charts since 1958.
I love ice cream!!!!
Wheres al and tipper when you really need them these kids are outta control!
I still masturbate when I hear "I gotta hickie on my shoulder"
