Bob and Doug McKenzie in Nine More Gallons

In the video Nine More Gallons, Bob and Doug McKenzie are two of odd Canadian comedians who hosted “Great White North”, a program which was introduced on SCTV – second city television for the show’s 3rd season when it was aired on CBC Television in the eighties. Bob’s character is created by comic Rick Moranis and the character Doug is acted by the comedian Dave Thomas. Regardless the fact it was born originally as a joke to both follow guidelines and mock legal Canadian content policies, the siblings grew up to be a pop culture smash hit in both Canada and the US. The two enetually would become the focus of a classic comedy album, The Great White North, in 1981.
