Bob and Doug McKenzie in Norwich v QPR – 1975/76

In the video Norwich v QPR – 1975/76, Bob and Doug McKenzie are a pair of hilarious Canadian comedians who hosted “Great White North”, a show which was featured on SCTV – second city television for the show’s 3rd season when it braodcast by CBC Television in the 80’s. The character Bob McKenzie is acted by comic Rick Moranis and Doug’s part is performed by Dave Thomas. Regardless the fact it was brought to life originally as a joke to both fulfill and makes jokes about dumb Canadian content statutes, the characters grew up to be a pop culture phenomenon in both Canada and across the border. The characters enetually would become the focus of a classic comedy album, The Great White North, in 1981.
