Bob and Doug McKenzie in Nostal-Ged Hall of Fame – Rick Moranis

In the video Nostal-Ged Hall of Fame – Rick Moranis, Bob and Doug McKenzie are a pair of fictional Canadian comedians who starred in “Great White North”, a show which was included on SCTV for the show’s most watched season when it was aired on the Canadian Broadcasting Channel in the eighties. Bob’s character is brought to life by the funny Rick Moranis and Doug’s part is performed by the comedian Dave Thomas. The sketch was brought to life originally as filler to both fulfill and mock stupid Canadian content rules, the brothers morphed into a pop culture hit in both Canada and across the border. The two became the focus of a bestselling comedy album, The Great White North, in 1981.
