In the video November 8, 1991 – Dave Thomas x2: The SCTV Guy & The Wendy’s Founder, Bob and Doug McKenzie are a couple of hysterical Canadian comedians who can been seen in “Great White North”, a segment which was televised on SCTV for the show’s most watched season when it braodcast by the Canadian Broadcasting Channel in the eighties. Bob is created by comic Rick Moranis and the character Doug is created by comic Dave Thomas. Regardless the fact it was brought to life originally as a joke to both follow guidelines and mock silly Canadian content legislation, the duo grew up to be a pop culture success in both Canada and across the border. The brothers enetually would become the focus of a huge comedy album, The Great White North, in 1981.
