Bob and Doug McKenzie in Now I Know

In the video Now I Know, Bob and Doug McKenzie are a group of fictional Canadian family members who are responsible for “Great White North”, a sketch which was included on second city television for the show’s most liked season when it aired by the Canadian Broadcasting Channel in 1980. The character Bob McKenzie is performed by Rick Moranis and Doug’s character is created by the comedian Dave Thomas. The bit was born originally as a joke to both follow guidelines and mock dumb Canadian content policies, the characters grew up to be a pop culture success in both Canada and the United States. The brothers later became the focus of a bestselling comedy album, The Great White North, in 1981.
