Bob and Doug McKenzie in Officer Fitzpatrick’s Message to the Class of 2020 at Dave Thomas Education Center

In the video Officer Fitzpatrick’s Message to the Class of 2020 at Dave Thomas Education Center, Bob and Doug McKenzie are a couple of fictional Canadian siblings who were featured in “Great White North”, a show which was televised on SCTV – second city television for the show’s third season when it got sent to CBC Television in the 1980s. Bob is brought to life by hilarious comedian Rick Moranis and Doug McKenzie’s part is brought to life by the comedian Dave Thomas. The sketch was brought to life originally as an idea to both fulfill and mock silly Canadian content statutes, the brothers morphed into a pop culture phenomenon in both Canada and the US. The pair soon became the focus of a huge comedy album, The Great White North, in 1981.
