Bob and Doug McKenzie in Officer Friendly SCTV

In the video Officer Friendly SCTV, Bob and Doug McKenzie are a pair of hilarious Canadian brothers who starred in “Great White North”, a show which was aired on SCTV for the show’s third season when it braodcast by the Canadian Broadcasting Channel in the eighties. Bob’s part is created by comedian Rick Moranis and the character Doug is acted by the comedian Dave Thomas. Which was born originally as a joke to both fulfill and make fun of non sensical Canadian content laws, the two turned into a pop culture hit in both Canada and the United States. The McKenzie brothers soon became the focus of a famous comedy album, The Great White North, in 1981.
