In the video Official Trailer – STRANGE BREW (1983, Rick Moranis, Dave Thomas, Max von Sydow), Bob and Doug McKenzie are a duo of made up Canadian siblings who can been seen in “Great White North”, a program which was aired on SCTV – second city television for the show’s 3rd season when it moved to CBC Television in the eighties. Bob is created by hilarious comedian Rick Moranis and the character Doug is played by Dave Thomas. It was brought to life originally as a sketch to both fulfill and laugh at legal Canadian content guidelines, the characters transformed into a pop culture phenomenon in both Canada and across the border. The two enetually would become the focus of a bestselling comedy album, The Great White North, in 1981.
