• SCTV is one of my comedy touchstones, equal to Monty Python. The quality of the work is timeless. But so much of SCTV's brilliant material is moored to its era's contemporary events. I'm curious how younger folks feel about it. I'll watch some sketches and think that people who have no inkling of the context will not think it's funny or at least hilarious, like I do.
