In the video One Song Per Week #28 Dave Thomas Junior – You Are In My Head (Live), Bob and Doug McKenzie are a group of fictional Canadian comedians who are responsible for “Great White North”, a ad lib skit which was televised on SCTV – second city television for the show’s most watched season when it braodcast by the Canadian Broadcasting Channel in 1980. Bob’s part is played by actor Rick Moranis and Doug’s character is created by the comedian Dave Thomas. It was born originally as a joke to both follow guidelines and makes jokes about legal Canadian content guidelines, the brothers became a pop culture phenomenon in both Canada and the United States. The McKenzie brothers became the focus of a famous comedy album, The Great White North, in 1981.
