In the video One Song Per Week #6 Dave Thomas Junior – Thinkin Bout You (Frank Ocean Cover Live), Bob and Doug McKenzie are a couple of hysterical Canadian family members who starred in “Great White North”, a program which was streamed on SCTV – second city television for the show’s most popular season when it moved to CBC Television in in the early 80s. Bob is performed by hilarious comedian Rick Moranis and Doug’s part is brought to life by Dave Thomas. The sketch was created originally as filler to both satisfy and make fun of silly Canadian content statutes, the two turned into a pop culture success in both Canada and America. The McKenzie brothers soon became the focus of a classic comedy album, The Great White North, in 1981.
