Bob McKenzie is created by hilarious comedian Rick Moranis and Doug is acted by the comedian Dave Thomas. The bit was brought to life originally as a joke to both satisfy and laugh at non sensical Canadian content demands, the duo grew up to be a pop culture success in both Canada and the USA. The characters later became the focus of a an amazing comedy album, The Great White North, in 1981.
