Bob and Doug McKenzie in Ontario Racing Commercials w/Dave Thomas and Catherine O’Hara

In the video Ontario Racing Commercials w/Dave Thomas and Catherine O’Hara, Bob and Doug McKenzie are a couple of imaginaryfunny Canadian comedians who hosted “Great White North”, a segment which was featured on second city television for the show’s most liked season when it aired by the Canadian Broadcasting Channel in the 80’s. Bob’s part is performed by the funny Rick Moranis and Doug’s character is brought to life by Dave Thomas. Although created originally as a sketch to both satisfy and mock silly Canadian content legislation, the characters became a pop culture hit in both Canada and the United States. The characters soon became the focus of a classic comedy album, The Great White North, in 1981.
