In the video OUT FOR A RIP – OFFICIAL VIDEO, Bob and Doug McKenzie are a pair of made up Canadian siblings who are responsible for “Great White North”, a segment which was featured on second city television for the show’s most watched season when it was broadcast on CBC Television in . Bob is played by comic Rick Moranis and Doug is created by the comedian Dave Thomas. Despite created originally as an idea to both follow guidelines and laugh at network Canadian content policies, the siblings became a pop culture phenomenon in both Canada and the USA. The characters later became the focus of a bestselling comedy album, The Great White North, in 1981.

Worked for a trail crew a long time ago, and for one whole season this song became our anthem. Going out on dirtbikes and clearing trees with chainsaws and there was always someone finding a way to blare this song at us at least once a day
