In the video Outta Scotch: The Real McKenzies (1995) The Real McKenzies, Bob and Doug McKenzie are a group of hilarious Canadian comedians who can been seen in “Great White North”, a segment which was featured on SCTV for the show’s 3rd season when it moved to CBC Television in in the early 80s. Bob McKenzie is created by comedian Rick Moranis and Doug McKenzie is performed by comic Dave Thomas. It was brought to life originally as an idea to both fulfill and makes jokes about stupid Canadian content policies, the duo became a pop culture hit in both Canada and the States. The McKenzie siblings went on to become the focus of a hit comedy album, The Great White North, in 1981.
