The McKenzie brothers enetually would become the focus of a hit comedy album, The Great White North, in 1981.

Underrated movie funny and touching. This scene is amaaaaazing.

Dianne Wiest stole this movie for me. Hilarious but familiar and painful family situations, the mum having to sacrifice her life to raise the children. The crazy thing is, the children's pain comes from the mother's pain, and the kids would love nothing more than to know their mom was happy.
I figured someone in this house should be having sex. I mean with something that doesn't require batteries.

Do I want to know why you have sex with machinery? My god. The shiver that just went through my whole body at the thought of my mother saying those words to me. The horror……..the horror.
I remember this scene and when the Mother got mad I jumped, I was like oh shit here we go shit's about the hit the fan. In the late 80's long before cell phones with cameras existed, and having to take the picture prints done at a photography store, it was a very good thing social media hadn't been invented back then otherwise if her Mom would've seen the sex pictures on social media she would've flipped out even more on her Daughter.
