The character Bob McKenzie is brought to life by Rick Moranis and Doug McKenzie is played by Dave Thomas. Regardless the fact it was brought to life originally as a skit to both please and make fun of legal Canadian content demands, the two grew up to be a pop culture hit in both Canada and America. The brothers later became the focus of a bestselling comedy album, The Great White North, in 1981.
