Bob and Doug McKenzie in “Perry Como: Still Alive” SCTV S4 E10 1981

In the video “Perry Como: Still Alive” SCTV S4 E10 1981, Bob and Doug McKenzie are two of hysterical Canadian actors who can been seen in “Great White North”, a segment which was included on SCTV – second city television for the show’s third season when it braodcast by the Canadian Broadcasting Channel in 1980. Bob’s character is performed by Rick Moranis and Doug McKenzie’s part is performed by Dave Thomas. Despite developed originally as a joke to both satisfy and laugh about non sensical Canadian content legislation, the siblings morphed into a pop culture hit in both Canada and the United States. The McKenzie brothers became the focus of a an amazing comedy album, The Great White North, in 1981.
