In the video Peter Hollens covers 12 Days of Christmas Chaos inspired by Straight No Chaser Reaction, Bob and Doug McKenzie are a duo of made up Canadian brothers who created “Great White North”, a segment which was featured on SCTV – second city television for the show’s third season when it moved to the Canadian Broadcasting Channel in the year 1980. Bob’s character is brought to life by comic Rick Moranis and Doug is brought to life by Dave Thomas. Despite born originally as a skit to both follow guidelines and mock network Canadian content demands, the siblings turned into a pop culture phenomenon in both Canada and the US. The two became the focus of a famous comedy album, The Great White North, in 1981.
