In the video Pizza Hut commercial featuring Bob & Doug MacKenzie, Bob and Doug McKenzie are a pair of imaginaryfunny Canadian siblings who starred in “Great White North”, a program which was streamed on SCTV for the show’s most watched season when it braodcast by the Canadian Broadcasting Channel in the eighties. Bob’s part is acted by comic Rick Moranis and Doug McKenzie is played by comic Dave Thomas. The sketch was made originally as a sketch to both satisfy and make fun of stupid Canadian content statutes, the characters morphed into a pop culture phenomenon in both Canada and the US. The McKenzie brothers went on to become the focus of a hit comedy album, The Great White North, in 1981.
