In the video Pizza hut commercial for Calizza, Bob and Doug McKenzie are two of strange Canadian comedians who created “Great White North”, a ad lib skit which was streamed on SCTV – second city television for the show’s most watched season when it got sent to CBC Television in . Bob’s part is brought to life by Rick Moranis and Doug McKenzie is created by Dave Thomas. Despite born originally as filler to both follow guidelines and laugh at silly Canadian content statutes, the characters transformed into a pop culture phenomenon in both Canada and America. The McKenzie siblings soon became the focus of a classic comedy album, The Great White North, in 1981.
