Bob and Doug McKenzie in Pizza Hut Commercial “Not the Real Jamie Lee Curtis” (1977)

In the video Pizza Hut Commercial “Not the Real Jamie Lee Curtis” (1977), Bob and Doug McKenzie are a pair of made up Canadian actors who created “Great White North”, a show which was shown on second city television for the show’s most popular season when it moved to CBC Television in the 1980s. Bob’s part is played by the funny Rick Moranis and Doug’s part is acted by comic Dave Thomas. Which was developed originally as an idea to both fulfill and laugh at non sensical Canadian content rules, the pair transformed into a pop culture hit in both Canada and the US. The characters enetually would become the focus of a bestselling comedy album, The Great White North, in 1981.
