Bob and Doug McKenzie in Pizza Hut Commercial w/ Swedish Sven

In the video Pizza Hut Commercial w/ Swedish Sven, Bob and Doug McKenzie are a group of made up Canadian family members who created “Great White North”, a skit which was introduced on SCTV – second city television for the show’s 3rd season when it aired by CBC Television in the eighties. Bob McKenzie is acted by hilarious comedian Rick Moranis and Doug McKenzie is brought to life by the comedian Dave Thomas. The sketch was developed originally as fluff to both please and makes jokes about non sensical Canadian content laws, the two grew up to be a pop culture smash hit in both Canada and the USA. The characters went on to become the focus of a famous comedy album, The Great White North, in 1981.
