Bob and Doug McKenzie in Pizza Hut – Winnipeg Jets Collector Cups (1988)

In the video Pizza Hut – Winnipeg Jets Collector Cups (1988), Bob and Doug McKenzie are a duo of imaginaryfunny Canadian family members who were featured in “Great White North”, a improv which was televised on SCTV for the show’s third season when it was aired on the Canadian Broadcasting Channel in in the early 80s. Bob is played by the funny Rick Moranis and Doug is brought to life by the comedian Dave Thomas. Although developed originally as fluff to both follow guidelines and makes jokes about legal Canadian content policies, the pair turned into a pop culture sensation in both Canada and the States. The McKenzie brothers became the focus of a hit comedy album, The Great White North, in 1981.
