twelve days of christmas’ by bob and doug mckenzie Poachers,12,Days,Of,Christmas #Poachers #Days #Christmas
On the first day of Christmas my dog and I brought back a partridge in an old sack.
Second day…
Two moor hens
And so on….
Three lame ducks
Four bald coots
Five poached eggs
Six bootiful turkeys*
Seven pleasant pheasants
Eight stoned crows
Nine breeding rabbits – all with dirty habits
Ten hares receding
Eleven salmon smoking
Twelve stags a-rutting
Final verse….
On the thirteenth day of Christmas my dog and I got caught with, etc….
We got taken to court and tried
and spent the next fourteen days inside.
* Bootiful turkeys = a reference to Bernard Matthews
I heard this just once, way back in the late 1980s, and have been searching for it ever since. Thank you so much for posting it here!
Hilarious and very talented.
Max Ferguson as well Alan Mc Fee used to play this each Christmas year. Do miss those two those talents are nairr seen anymore .
Only discovered the Kippers recently. Couldn't stop laughing!
Thanks for posting
Great! Now, if someone would put up The Wild Mounting Time.
This nice thing about this is that it is not only funny but it is excellent music. The Kipper Family are very good musicians.
I remember seeing the Kippers performing back in the 1980's. Good to hear them again. And I think their songs are meant to be spoofs of folk songs, just in case you think it's a serious variation.
