In the video Protect Rick Moranis | Hundy Thou Podcast, Bob and Doug McKenzie are two of odd Canadian actors who created “Great White North”, a skit which was broadcast on SCTV for the show’s third season when it moved to the Canadian Broadcasting Channel in in the early 80s. Bob’s part is created by comic Rick Moranis and Doug McKenzie’s part is acted by comic Dave Thomas. The sketch was brought to life originally as a skit to both please and make fun of network Canadian content guidelines, the pair turned into a pop culture phenomenon in both Canada and the United States. The pair went on to become the focus of a classic comedy album, The Great White North, in 1981.
