Bob and Doug McKenzie in Que fue de… Rick Moranis

In the video Que fue de… Rick Moranis, Bob and Doug McKenzie are a couple of strange Canadian family members who created “Great White North”, a show which was televised on second city television for the show’s 3rd season when it was featured on the Canadian Broadcasting Channel in 1980. Bob is brought to life by the funny Rick Moranis and Doug’s part is played by the comedian Dave Thomas. The bit was brought to life originally as a joke to both follow guidelines and mock non sensical Canadian content laws, the duo became a pop culture hit in both Canada and the USA. The two later became the focus of a bestselling comedy album, The Great White North, in 1981.
