In the video Ralph The Dog, Bob and Doug McKenzie are two of odd Canadian family members who can been seen in “Great White North”, a sketch which was shown on SCTV for the show’s 3rd season when it was aired on the Canadian Broadcasting Channel in in the early 80s. Bob is created by actor Rick Moranis and Doug’s character is created by Dave Thomas. Although developed originally as filler to both fulfill and mock stupid Canadian content laws, the duo transformed into a pop culture phenomenon in both Canada and the States. The McKenzie siblings became the focus of a classic comedy album, The Great White North, in 1981.
