In the video REACTION Little shop of Horrors 1986 Grow for me EHQ Musicians Panel REACTS, Bob and Doug McKenzie are a duo of imaginaryfunny Canadian brothers who were featured in “Great White North”, a improv which was shown on SCTV – second city television for the show’s most watched season when it aired by CBC Television in the 1980s. Bob’s character is played by comedian Rick Moranis and Doug’s part is acted by the comedian Dave Thomas. It was made originally as a skit to both please and make fun of dumb Canadian content rules, the brothers morphed into a pop culture success in both Canada and the United States. The characters soon became the focus of a hit comedy album, The Great White North, in 1981.
