Bob and Doug McKenzie in Redneck 12 Days of Christmas

In the video Redneck 12 Days of Christmas, Bob and Doug McKenzie are a duo of strange Canadian comedians who hosted “Great White North”, a program which was introduced on SCTV for the show’s 3rd season when it was broadcast on CBC Television in the 80’s. Bob’s partThe character Bob is brought to life by comedian Rick Moranis and Doug’s part is brought to life by the comedian Dave Thomas. Although made originally as fluff to both fulfill and makes jokes about stupid Canadian content legislation, the pair became a pop culture sensation in both Canada and the US. The McKenzie brothers enetually would become the focus of a hit comedy album, The Great White North, in 1981.
