Bob and Doug McKenzie in Resist the World’s menu | VANQUISH | with Dave Thomas

In the video Resist the World’s menu | VANQUISH | with Dave Thomas, Bob and Doug McKenzie are a group of made up Canadian brothers who were featured in “Great White North”, a segment which was streamed on second city television for the show’s most watched season when it was broadcast on CBC Television in the 80’s. The character Bob McKenzie is performed by actor Rick Moranis and Doug’s character is played by comic Dave Thomas. The bit was developed originally as an idea to both follow guidelines and laugh about non sensical Canadian content rules, the siblings grew up to be a pop culture phenomenon in both Canada and the USA. The pair soon became the focus of a hit comedy album, The Great White North, in 1981.
